Daily Itinerary

Days 1–4 · Yunnan — Ancient Towns, Alpine Light & Erhai Blues

Day 1 — Arrival & First Impressions(Lijiang)

Step off the plane and into highland air. Your private driver meets you and glides you to your hotel. After check-in, wander the cobbled lanes of Lijiang Old Town and Sifang Street at your own pace. Lanterns glow, Naxi music drifts through wooden courtyards, and street-side grills perfume the night. Order a warm pot of local specialties — tomorrow, the Tea-Horse Road calls.

Day 2 — Tea-Horse Road Echoes
Wake to rooftop views and meet your guide.

  • Lashihai Wetland (horseback experience included): Trot along meadow paths where caravans once crossed — a living chapter of the Ancient Tea-Horse Road.

  • Shuhe Old Town & Jiuding Dragon Pool: Slip into an earlier Lijiang, all stone bridges, murmuring canals, and hand-carved lintels.

  • Lijiang Old Town by Night (self-guided): Lose the map. Find a melody. Snack your way through smoky grills and local hotpots (black goat or cured-rib hotpot are classics). Return to the hotel when you’re ready.

Day 3 — Wind · Flower · Snow · Moon(Dali & Erhai)

Follow the lakeshore road toward Dali — Cang Mountain behind you, Erhai Lake before you.

  • Shuanglang Ancient Town: White-walled homes meet the glimmering lake. Take in the panorama that’s launched a thousand postcards.

  • Yujidao & Jinshuo Island (ferry): Step onto island viewpoints where 19 Cang peaks rise across Erhai’s silver-blue.

  • Dragon Palace Scenic Area & Fisher Culture: Underground karst halls, folk dance, and stories of cormorant fishers — a window into Bai traditions.

  • “Santorini · Ideal Kingdom” Viewpoint: A whimsical, white-washed cliffside hideaway for your dreamiest Erhai shots.

Day 4 — Old Capital, Open Road(Dali → Lijiang)

  • Dali Ancient City: City gates, bluestone lanes, and the “Foreigners’ Street” where cafés hum and time unspools slowly.

  • Jeep Photoshoot (4 guests / car, pro photographer): Wind in your hair, Cang Mountain in your frame — a kinetic keepsake of the plateau’s light.

  • Sky Mirror & Glass Orbs (photo spots): Play with reflections that pull the clouds down to your fingertips.
Drive back to Lijiang in the golden hour.

Day 5 — Arrival in the Land of Slow Joy(Chengdu)

Airport send-off from Yunnan, then arrive in Chengdu to an easy hotel check-in. The afternoon is yours: teahouses, bamboo chairs, and that famous unhurried heartbeat.

Day 6 — Colors of the Earth(Huanglong → Jiuzhaigou)

Set out for Huanglong Scenic Area: terraced mineral pools in blues and golds, framed by snow peaks and primeval forest. (Altitude precautions recommended.) Evening transfer to Jiuzhaigou and early rest — tomorrow is your fairy tale.

Day 7 — A Day in a Dream(Jiuzhaigou National Park)

Glide past mirror-smooth lakes and rainbow shallows. Boardwalks wind through forests where waterfalls lace the air. Tibetan villages, prayer flags, and wooden mills dot the valleys. It’s all real, and it’s all otherworldly.

Day 8 — Rivers Tamed, Rivers Alive(Dujiangyan)

Descend the plateau toward Dujiangyan — a 2,000-year-old irrigation masterpiece still shaping Sichuan’s fertile plains. Walk the Fish Mouth Weir, Flying Sand Weir, and suspension bridges; climb Yulei Pavilion for the full sweep of water, town, and time. Night stroll across Nanqiao Bridge as the river glows.

Day 9 — The Mountain Buddha(Leshan → Emei)

Stand at the feet of the Leshan Giant Buddha, a 71-meter guardian carved into a riverside cliff. Trace the switchbacks down to the waterline and feel the scale in your bones. Continue to Mount Emei and settle in.

Day 10 — Sea of Clouds & Golden Summit(Emei)

Ride to Leidongping, then cable up to Golden Summit (3,077 m): gilded halls, ten-direction Samantabhadra, and (weather permitting) seas of cloud and Buddha’s light. Descend via Wannian Temple, pass Bailong Cave, and listen to the chatter of macaques near Qingyin Pavilion.

Day 11 — National Treasure & Bronze Age Mystery(Chengdu)

  • Giant Panda Breeding Base: Morning is feeding time — pandas ambling, cubs tumbling. Learn the science behind their protection.

  • Sanxingdui Museum: Bronze masks with wide eyes, sacred trees reaching skyward — a civilization both near and unknowable.

  • Kuanzhai Alleys by Night: Tea steam, string music, and the comfort of a bowl of dandan noodles. Pick up a keepsake before tomorrow’s flight.

Day 12 — Arrival in the Ancient Capital

Land in Xi’an and settle inside the city that once launched caravans toward the edge of the world. Evening at leisure — lanterns flicker along food streets; cumin and cardamom drift through the air.

Day 13 — Warriors, Pagodas & Tang-Style Nights

  • Terracotta Army: A subterranean formation of clay soldiers, each face unique, each detail a whisper from 2,200 years ago.

  • Tang-Style Banquet (optional): Courtly flavors, gleaming lacquer, and music from Xi’an’s golden age.

  • Great Tang All Day Mall & Big Wild Goose Pagoda Music Fountain: Street performances, lanterns, and choreographed water — a festival of light and memory.

Day 14 — Walls That Tell Stories

  • Ancient City Wall: Walk or cycle the ramparts; watch the old city hum within, the modern city flow beyond.

  • Drum & Bell Towers: Timekeepers of an empire, casting shadows in the noon sun.

  • Shuyuanmen Cultural Street: Brush, ink, and stone — calligraphy shops and scholarly calm.

  • Stele Forest Museum: 4,000+ engraved tablets; Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan live on in stone.

  • Muslim Quarter: Red-willow skewers, roujiamo, syrupy zenggao — a chorus of aromas.

  • Great Mosque of Xi’an: Tang-style courtyards and Islamic art intertwined — a living testament to Silk Road exchange. (Dress modestly; keep quiet respect inside the courtyards.)

Day 15 — Farewell, For Now

Breakfast, then private transfer to Xi’an Xianyang International Airport. Your journey ends — but the story you carry keeps unfolding.
